A number of public events are planned for Spring and Fall 2008. We are currently laying the groundwork for additional events in Toronto and Ottawa for 2009. 

This website will likely grow and develop as new project materials become available. 

We are planning on releasing a scholarly, edited volume that will bring together a number of key components resulting from the project: essays developed from project symposia; commissioned essays; primary archival material relating to the film and score; and the photography exhibits included here. Publication information will be posted here as it develops.

Finally, we are investigating the possibility of a DVD release of the restored film with supplementary “extras” including a short documentary on the making of the project and a recording of one of the Kwakwaka’wakw dance presentations.
